7. International Sits & Immigration
Important: Please read this section carefully if you are considering pet sitting in a country where you are not a citizen or permanent resident.
7.1 Immigration & Visa Requirements
Border and immigration authorities in many countries may classify pet sitting or house sitting—even when no monetary payment is exchanged—as a form of employment or work that requires a valid work permit or visa. The provision of services in exchange for accommodation may be considered "work" under immigration law, regardless of how the arrangement is characterised by the parties involved or by this Platform.
We strongly advise all Members to consult directly with the immigration authorities or embassy of any country they plan to visit for a Sit before accepting or confirming any sitting arrangement. Visa and immigration requirements vary by country and may change without notice.
7.2 Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
- Researching and understanding the visa, work permit, and immigration requirements of any country you intend to visit for a Sit
- Obtaining any necessary visas, permits, or authorisations before travelling
- Complying with all applicable immigration laws and regulations
- Any consequences arising from denied entry, deportation, detention, or other immigration-related issues
7.3 No Legal Advice or Representations
We do not provide legal advice and make no representations or warranties regarding the legality of pet sitting arrangements in any jurisdiction. Any information provided in these Terms & Conditions and/or on the Platform about international sits is for general informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as legal advice. We do not guarantee that pet sitting will be permitted under the immigration laws of any country.
7.4 Limitation of Liability for Immigration Issues
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we expressly disclaim any and all liability for any loss, damage, cost, or expense (including but not limited to denied entry, deportation, detention, travel disruption, legal fees, or future travel restrictions) arising from or related to immigration or visa issues in connection with any Sit arranged through the Platform.
8. Fees & Payment
8.1 Membership Fees
Details of membership fees, payment terms, and subscription options are set out on the Platform. All fees due are payable in advance.
8.2 Auto-Renewal
Your membership may automatically renew unless you cancel before the renewal date.
8.3 Refund Policy
Refunds may be available within 14 days after payment and only if you have not used your account. Refunds are not routinely offered for change of mind.
9. Cancellations
9.1 Repeated Cancellations
We are a third party to the agreements between Pet Owner and Pet Sitter, but nevertheless consider reported cancellations as behaviour that does not match what We expect from our Members as they impact other Members who may have declined alternative arrangements. Therefore, Members with three or more cancellations within a 12-month period may have their account restricted or suspended.
9.2 No-Show Policy
For the same reason, failure to arrive for a confirmed Sit without prior notice constitutes a no-show and may result in immediate account suspension and review.
9.3 Platform Liability
For avoidance of doubt, We have no liability if a Member cancels at any time, and you will not be entitled to any compensation from Us. Except for the consequences as set out under 9.1 and 9.2 cancellations are solely matters between the Members involved.
10. Reviews & Ratings
10.1 Posting Reviews

- True, fair, and accurate
- Based on an actual Sitting experience
- Posted within 14 days of completing the Sit

10.2 Review Standards
You may not:
- Post reviews for Members you have a personal relationship with
- Accept incentives in exchange for reviews without disclosure
- Post false, misleading, or defamatory reviews
10.3 Our Rights
We reserve the right to remove reviews that appear to be untrue, unfair, inaccurate, offensive, or inappropriate at first glance.
10.4 Review Disputes
If you believe a review is false or defamatory, you may request an investigation within 14 days of the review being posted. Dispute requests must include:
- A clear explanation of why you believe the review is false
- Supporting evidence such as photographs, messages, or other documentation
We will investigate disputes and may remove or amend reviews found to be demonstrably false. Our decision on review disputes is final.
10.5 Blind Review Period
To encourage honest feedback and prevent retaliatory reviews, reviews are submitted independently and remain hidden until both parties have submitted their review, or until 14 days have passed after the Sit ends, whichever occurs first.
11. Pet-Related Risks & Liability
11.1 Acknowledgment of Risk
Both Pet Owners and Pet Sitters acknowledge that interacting with animals involves inherent risks.
11.2 Pet Owner Liability

We retain ownership of all materials (e.g. software, databases, trademarks and intellectual property regarding the Platform and of all content texts, information, analyses, graphics, images) if posted by Us on the Platform.
13.2 Your Content
By posting content on the Platform, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, copy, modify, and distribute your content in connection with the Platform.

- Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect
18. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to unilaterally adapt or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time for valid reasons and in order to:
